U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn, announced Wednesday that the Federal Aviation Administration has awarded a grant of $932,480 to the Wayne County Airport Authority to rebuild the eastern half of Runway 9L/27R at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

“This newest investment will go a long way… allowing Detroit Metro Airport to continue to compete with large hubs across the country,” said Dingell in a statement.
