The Company Rob Steele Keeps Is Very Telling About His Extreme Anti-Worker Agenda

Sarah Palin Endorsement Out of Touch with Michigan’s Working Families, Rob Steele Should Reject Her Endorsement

Dearborn, MI – Today GOP candidate Rob Steele running in Michigan’s 15th District received the endorsement of the darling of the Right-wing, Sarah Palin.

Palin, the notorious running-mate of Republican Presidential candidate John McCain, opposes the successful investment by the federal government into the auto industry, which saved millions of American jobs and hundreds of thousands in Michigan alone.  Palin opposes the investments the government is making in American workers and the jobs that these investments are saving and creating.  We already know Rob Steele supports tax cuts for companies that send jobs to China and India, so this latest endorsement from Sarah Palin comes as no surprise – both Steele and Palin are foes of Michigan’s working families.

Republican candidate Rob Steele is very hard to pin down on most issues, which was quite apparent at last week’s debate.  Despite running on a platform of spending cuts, Steele failed to cite even one program that he would cut.  Since we know very little about Rob Steele, a great question for him to answer would be: “How would you have voted on the rescue of the American auto industry and the millions of jobs that depend on the domestic auto industry?”  Based on the company Rob Steele keeps and his extreme anti-worker agenda, our guess is Rob Steele would have once again said “No” to Michigan’s workers.

We happen to think that when you’re running for Congress, it’s important to take a clear stand.  For the record:  John Dingell successfully fought to invest in American jobs and is proud of his record of defending the American auto industry and its workers.  John Dingell never stops fighting for Michigan’s workers.
