Friends,

The countdown is here until Election Day and our friends have been incredible!  We have knocked on doors, handed out reams of campaign literature, delivered yards signs, made thousands of phone calls and we are not quite done!  If you can still volunteer today or tomorrow, please let us know.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the activity of the moment, we don’t stop to appreciate all that has been accomplished.  John and I are deeply grateful to you for everything you have done to help during this campaign season.  It’s been invigorating for me to spend time with him on the campaign trail and we have actually seen each other more this month than we have in sometime.  For me, it has been a reminder that he still has the same passion for fighting for what’s right that he had the day I met him – and that inspires me every day.

I’m sure I will see many of you as we do our final campaigning over the next 24 hours – and I hope that I will see you Election night at either UAW Region 1A or at the Monroe or Ann Arbor Dem parties.  This note, though, is to thank you for your friendship, and know that when John goes back to Washington, he will continue fighting hard for every Michigan family each and every day.
