Tea Party Congressman Paul Ryan’s budget plan for 2012 is an assault on senior citizens and low-income families.

This GOP plan, passed in the House over my strong objections, ends Medicare and Medicaid as we know them. It thereby places the burden of reducing our national debt disproportionately on our seniors and those who can least afford it.

Meanwhile, the Ryan-GOP budget plan repeals Wall Street reforms for fat cat bankers and gives huge tax handouts to Big Business and Big Oil. In fact, the GOP plan lowers taxes for the wealthiest two percent of Americans to the lowest levels since Herbert Hoover, whose presidency led into the Great Depression.

This is outrageous.

Please stand with me in the fight to defend our seniors and protect Medicare and Medicaid from Congressman Paul Ryan’s and the GOP’s attacks.

We all agree that reducing our deficit is critical, but it’s just plain wrong to do so on the backs of those who can least afford it.  And all the while spending trillions to give tax handouts to the wealthy?

No. We must stop this rascality.
